Saath Saath Banayenge Ek Aashiyaan (International Title:East Meets West) is a Hindi television serial that aired on Zee TV starting from 10 March 2008 until 6 November 2008, based on the concept of how culture impacts on an individual's life.

Plot

The story is based on the lives of two grandsons of a Punjabi family (The Singh's) from Delhi, who get married to girls who are culturally and geographically poles apart from each other. One hails from a small town in Punjab while the other is an NRI who has been brought up across the seven seas. The story takes many turns, romantic, emotional, dramatic and purely funny when the two girls start living under the same roof. Then rekha vows to make lamita's life a living hell because she hates her but pretends to like her which makes arjana angry as she thinks that lamita is now the best daughter in law of her mother in law(rekha)and vows to destroy her by making her to suffer.the whole family go's on a pilgrimage and lajwanti and lisa as well as abhay are left home alone as lisa wants to bring them both together she invites a priest and he tells lajwanti that the problem in her marrage will end the next day.As lajwanti gos to the temple the next day she prays for uday and he sees this and realizes his mistake of mistreating her.
