Manvitha born in Mangalore is an Indian film actress. She has established a career in Kannada cinema[1]. She has received one SIMA Debut Award for Kendasampige. Started her career as a Radio Jockey in Radio Mirchi and made a switch to acting through the Kannada film Kendasampige (2015) directed by Duniya Soori.

Early life

Shwetha Kamath was born to Harish Kamath and Sujatha Kamath on 13 April in Mangalore. She was brought up in Kalasa of Chikmagalur till SSLC, later pursued her PUC and Degree in Sharada PU college She worked for more than a year in Radio Mirchi from Mangalore prior and was hosting a show named Khiladi 983[2].

Career

Even though she did not have any godfather, a connect of her recommended her name to Duniya Soori 18 months back. She was called for the auditions and got selected for Kendasampige [3]. Apart from her acting skills, she had three qualities that Duniya Soori was looking for in his leading lady and those are driving long distances and know Kannada thoroughly. In fact, Manvitha was well versed with Mangalore Kannada, Malnad Kannada, Dharwad Kannada and Bengaluru Kannada, which became an advantage. Manvitha Harish did her theatres since childhood in the folk drama troupe of Late Mr.Bhaskar Nelliteertha and also in college. she was also a secretary of Kannada Sangha in St.Aloysius college while pursing her Journalism that made her take film as her carrier [4] [5]. She was paired opposite Vikky Varun in the film as Gowri Shetty, that went to become a success commercially.[6] Her next project is with Hatrick Hero Shiva Rajkumar named as Tagaru, directing by Duniya Soori.[7].

Awards and Honours

She also won best debutant from the most prestigious SIIMA and also from Santhosham magazine awards from Hyderabad for Kendasampige[8].
