Happy Wedding is 2016 Indian Malayalam romantic comedy-drama film directed by debutante Omar. Starring Sharafudheen, Soubin Shahir, Siju Wilson, and Justin John in the lead roles, the film is jointly produced by Eros International and Nazir Ali under his banner Ozone Productions. It narrates the story of an engineering graduate (Wilson) as he contemplates marriage on his mother's insistence.[3]

Principal photography which began in Kochi in November 2015 ended in March 2016. Other shooting locations were Thrissur and Chalakudy. Some parts of the film were also shot in Royal College of Engineering and Technology, Akkikavu, Thrissur.[4] The film was released on 20 May 2016.[5]

Plot

'Happy Wedding' is about Hari (Siju Wilson) love life and his eventual happy wedding. Manu (Sharafudeen) is Hari's cousin brother and close friend. His first college love life with two timing Shahina (Anu Sitara) is portrayed in an environment with his friends Manu, Asha, Tyson, and Pareekutty and their days in an engineering college. His current love interest is a socially outgoing girl Lakshmi who openly flirts with many and shows interested in many. Hari's third infatuation from a bus-trip that turns into a love is the crux of the film. Intervention of a Matrimonial Consultant for handling difficult cases for a prime fee changes Hari's life, which is inspired from 2015 Hollywood film The Wedding Ringer while the rest follows a lingering similarity to Premam, but with a different direction.
