Definition

Are we really to believe the history of residency shows starts and ends with the performers listed in the very specific citations that act more like advertisements for the celebrities in question, rather than adhering to guidelines to define what is a residency?— Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.137.150.35 (talkcontribs) 00:54, 28 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have tried to find a source outlining the definition of a residency show, but haven't found one. If you can, then please add the info or link it here! Adabow (talk) 04:51, 28 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think the case could be made that the subject itself is notable, given the existence of similar acts in Branson, Missouri and near Orlando, Florida. Indeed, Broadway itself is a metonym for the "residency shows" of New York... though, of course, this is original research on my part, as I've not heard the term applied to Broadway. Perhaps a name change, or a merger with another page, is in order? I'm sure this topic has been covered by more sources, just maybe by a different name. -- JeffBillman (talk) 17:09, 28 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
