Soichi Hashimoto (Japanese: 橋本壮市; born 23 August 1991 in Shizuoka) is a Japanese judoka.[1] He is currently ranked second in the lightweight division, and is the #3 pound-for-pound judoka in the world.[2]
Hashimoto rose to prominence by becoming national champion at the All-Japan Judo Championships in 2015. He then became one of the lightweight division's top judokas by winning five tournaments consecutively, spanning from the World Masters[3] to the Grand Slam Tokyo[4] and Paris.[5]
