Mea Fisher
Mea Fisher aka Dj Mea is an electronic music dj, vocalist, and producer known for singing live vocals over her dj sets, and is currently the lead singer for industrial rock band Lords of Acid on having performed on their last two tours and most recent studio album Deep Chills.[1][2]
Born and raised in Kansas City, Mea rose to international fame in 2000 in the legendary Chicago house scene, collaborating with great producers on dance floor hits, and as the only female dj on on the Funky Tekno Tribe Tour.[3] Her first DJ mix compilation was released globally in 2000 under the label, After Hours.[4][5]
In 2008 she formed an industrial band called MeandMyMachine, which lead to her role as the lead singer for electro-industrial rock band Lords of Acid, joining them on their 2011 Sonic Angel tour,[6][7] and lending lead vocals on their 2012 album, Deep Chills.[8]
She played The Sahara Tent at the Coachella Festival in 2012,[9][10][11] and currently resides in Los Angeles where she produces music for video games & film, and is a voice character actor.
