The Lions actually played the entire 1940 season at University of Detroit Stadium due to a negotiation dispute between the new Lions owner Fred Mandel and Detroit Tigers owner Walter Briggs. I have changed the information in the article to reflect this. Mingusal (talk) 19:37, 31 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
