Green World Lumber, also known as GWL, is a Canadian-based provider of high-end mahogany decking. Located in Whitby, Ontario, GWL sells and distributes all over the Canadian market. The mahogany, officially called swietenia macrophylla, is premium plantation grown genuine mahogany that is grown and harvested in Fiji.

History

[edit]

Green World Lumber officially began in January 2013 when a once lumber sales man, Taylor Willson, paired up with a plantation in Fiji to bring high-end mahogany decking into the Canadian market. In the past Taylor Willson had noticed the negative affects of the logging industry on many second and third world nations and environments. He saw the need for a long-lasting durable decking option that would be optimal for the varying Canadian climate, but would have little to no environmental impact.

Over the years Green World Lumber has paired up with Arc and Co [1]
