Sheryl Nields (born September 1, 1967) is an award-winning American portrait, fashion, editorial and commercial photographer and a video and motion photography director.

Honors

Sheryl Nields’ work is featured on magazine covers and features, music album covers, in books and art exhibits and on movie posters. Considered one of the international elite of fashion photography, her photographs were featured in "Traummanner, Starfotgrafen zeigen ihr Vision vom Ideal" and "Traumfrauen, Starfotografen zeigen ihre Vision von Schonheit,"[1] and the photography featured in the books was presented in a an exhibition that travelled internationally. The exhibition TRAUMMÄNNER, in 2011, was the follow-up project to TRAUMFRAUEN which was presented in 2008 at the Deichtorhallen.[2] Nields and her work are showcased in “The World’s Top Photographers: Portraits” by Fergus Greer along with the work Herb Ritts, David Bailey, Richard Avedon, Lord Snowdon and Annie Liebowitz among the 35 leading international portrait photographers. (RotoVision 2004)[3] In 2005, Nields was honored by The International Photography Awards (IPA) with a Lucie Award, winning Fashion Layout of the Year[4] with her photography in Angeleno Magazine of Scarlett Johansson in “Scarlett Fever.” In 2006, she was the winner of Visionary Lensmaster at the Hollywood Life Movieline Style Awards.[5][6] In 2013, Nields was invited to present a lecture about her work at The Annenberg Space for Photography in Los Angeles, which included an exhibit of her work.[7]

Chartitable Work

Nields serves as a member of the Advisory Board of the nonprofit, “In a Perfect World,” founded by Manuela Testolini.[8] “In a Perfect World” supports children and educators in underserved classrooms, builds schools in some of the poorest countries in the world and provides mentorship and artistic expression to homeless youth.
