Amir Tataloo

Amirhossein Maghsoudloo commonly known as Amir Tataloo (born September 1987) is an Iranian music artist.

The Iranian military helped him make a music video for the Iranian nuclear program.[1] Because Iranian television is government controlled, his music has been aired through satellite channels, for which he was arrested in 2013 and 2016.

Biography

Maghsoudloo was born in Tehran.[citation needed] He started his career in 2003 as an underground musician. Since then, he released several music albums and single tracks. In 2013, he was briefly arrested by the moral security police of Iran.[2] He was again arrested in 2016.[3]

In 2014, via his Facebook page, he stated that he will become a football player, But then he continued his career as a singer.[4]

Controversies

During the Iran/5+1 nuclear talks in Vienna, in July 2015, Tataloo released a song supporting the Iranian nuclear program. The music video was produced on the Iranian IRINS Damavand (77) navy ship. This video was considered by some to be a response of Iranian armed forces to the deal that resulted from the talks.[5][6]
