Egbert Haverkamp-Begemann

Egbert Haverkamp Begemann is an American art historian and writer of Dutch origin.

Life

He was born and raised in Netherlands.

He immigrated to the United States in 1959.

Career

He completed his PhD in 1958 at the University of Utrecht in Netherlands.[1] He immigrated to the United States in 1959.[2]

He is currently a Professor of art history at the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU and Yale University.[3]

His notable students included Ronni Baer, Alan Chong, Stephanie Dickey, Wayne Franits, Thomas Kren, Otto Naumann, Nanette Salomon, Joaneath Spicer and Peter Sutton.[4]

He is also a distinguished member of the Institute of Advanced Study in Princeton.[5][6]
