As part of our commitment to quality information, the contributing editors of Wikipedia have identified and organized the best of its contents for readers. Many lists and indices of the complete works also have been developed to help readers find what interests them. Featured content

Featured content represents the best of what Wikipedia has to offer. These are the articles, pictures, and other contributions that showcase the polished result of the collaborative efforts that drive Wikipedia:

  • Featured articles — what we believe are the best articles in Wikipedia.
  • Featured pictures — images we find beautiful, shocking, impressive, and informative.
  • Featured lists — what we believe to be the best lists in Wikipedia.
  • Featured portals — portals we regard as being particularly useful, attractive, and well-maintained.

More quality articles

  • A-Class articles — top candidates for featured article status.
  • Good articles — well written, stable, accurate, referenced, use a neutral point of view, and appropriately illustrated.

  • Special:Allpages — (long page) access to all current articles. Sorted alphabetically by full title, e.g., "abacus to adamantine."
  • Wikipedia:Concise — Wikipedia's version of a concise encyclopedia. Around 5,000 articles currently are listed. (periodically updated)
