Segodon (西郷どん) is an upcoming Japanese television series starring Ryohei Suzuki. It is the 57th NHK taiga drama.[1]
Plot
Segodon follows the life of historical figure Takamori Saigo. He was born the first son of a lower-class samurai. He was exiled two times and went through three marriages. Takamori Saigo became the central figure of the Meiji Restoration, but he fights against the government's army[2], Based on the novel "Sego Don" by Mariko Hayashi that published February, 2016 in magazine Hon no Tabibito.
