Satoshi Matsuoka is a Japanese Computer scientist.

Biography

He graduate from Musashi Senior High School in 1982, and University of Tokyo in 1986. In his student days, he worked for HAL Laboratory of establishment period as part time worker. He developed Pinball of Nintendo and Rollerball with Satoru Iwata. [1]。In 1989, He become research associate in University of Tokyo then lecturer. In 1993, he acquire Ph.D. in science from thesis "Language Features for Extensibility and Re-use in Concurrent Object-Oriented Languages". He In 1996, He become assistant professor of Tokyo Institute of Technology then become professor in 2001. He also become visiting professor of National Institute of Informatics in 2002.

He designed Supercomputer TSUBAME of Tokyo Institute of Technology.
