Pingu in the City is a Japanese computer-animated television series. It is based on the original stop-motion series Pingu that aired from 1986 to 2006. The series premiered in Japan on October 7th, 2017.
Premise
The series is adapted from the famous Swiss cartoon Pingu created in 1986 by Otmar Gutmann. In the series, the Pingu family move from their home to a large city, where the inhabitants are all very different. They try to find a job and adapt to their new life.
Production
The series was produced by Japanese studio Polygon Pictures with Mattel and The Pygos Group for NHK.
