Ostromia is an assumed genus of anchiornithid theropod dinosaur from the Late Jurassic of Germany. The genus contains a single species, Ostromia crassipes, named after the American paleontologist John Ostrom by Christian Foth and Oliver Rauhut in 2017.

It was originally misidentified as a new species of a pterodactyloid pterosaur and named Pterodactylus crassipes. It was only identified by John Ostrom in 1970 as an Archaeopteryx and called the "Haarlem specimen", since it was kept in the Teylers Museum in Haarlem.[1] A new investigation by Christian Foth and Oliver Rauhut found deviant proportions of some short bones (Unguals) and some minor anatomical bone detailes. From these findings they postulated a new genus of anchiornithid theropod dinosaurs, which are more closely related to the Chinese Anchiornis.[2] The problem with this interpretation is, that the "Haarlem specimen" is an incomplete skeleton, which only consists of pelvis, legs, talons and feathers.
