Wekiwa Springs is a census-designated place and an unincorporated area in Seminole County, Florida, United States. The population was 23,169 at the 2000 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 23.7 km² (9.2 mi²). 22.4 km² (8.6 mi²) of it is land and 1.3 km² (0.5 mi²) of it (5.68%) is water.

Demographics

As of the censusTemplate:GR of 888, there were 23,169 people, 8,825 households, and 6,751 families residing in the CDP. The population density 8 tThere were 8,825 households out of which 36.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 66.8% were married couples living together, 7.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.5% were non-families. 19.3% of all householdstythere were 94.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.1 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $71,839, and the median income for a family was $78,495. Males had a median income of $61,713 versus $37,285 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $36,196. About 1.6% of families and 2.6% of the population were below the poverty line, including 2.6% of those under age 18 and 1.0% of those age 65 or over.
