Village

Khawaraoji is a village located in Dausa district of Rajasthan, India. It is well known for its beauty and the old kingdom of Rao Rajputs. It is located around 26 km from the town area Dausa. Khawaraoji is the ancestral origin of famous Bollywood movie directors like Bhikoo Verma, Pappu Verma, Tinu Verma and jitu verma. The "Ajit Rajput Khawaraoji" village is surrounded by the Aravali hills on the one side and the rest is covered by Khawaraoji Fort they are well known for the red stone which is used in the architecture. There are two forts located in Khawaraoji Village one on top of Hills and another on the foot hills surrounded by valleys and mountains.

The Kingdom of Khawaraoji

The kingdom was established in 800 AD Khawaraoji is famous for the Rao Rajpoot Kshatriya rulers since the 16th century. There were 210 villages which were under the control of their kingdom. Khwaraoji was never ruled under the governance of Mughals, Jaipur Kingdom or the British Kingdom. Khawaraoji is the fief of Thikana during the Rajpoot Khstriyas period. Currently Rao Vishwak Singh is the King. The old Fort was renovated as a heritage hotel (Hotel Khawa Palace) with ancient architecture and a display of heritage.

The Khawaraoji Fort is located on the upper part of the village and it is 365 years old. Thakur Karan Singh Rao built this palace in the 16th century to rule his Kingdom. The fort is surrounded by Amol Ghati and the rest by mountains which gives a beautiful panoramic view.

Khawaraoji is located near the tourist spots of Golden Tourism triangle of India (Delhi, Jaipur, Agra). The nearest point to reach Khawaraoji is Dausa which is about 26 km away and the nearest airport is the Jaipur Airport with a travel distance of 86.6 km.

Other locations nearby are: Sariska Tiger National Park 10 km away, Ajabgarh-Bhangarh 85 km away, Ranthambore National Park 90 km away and 35 km from Abhaneri.
