IP address: 70.49.227.46 (block logactive blockscontribs deleted contribs abuse filter logWHOISRDNSRBLsunblockcheckuser (log))
Block ID: #8369907 (BlockListunblock)
Blocking admin: Bishonen (talkblocks)
Block message:

Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "Jackdotorg". The reason given for Jackdotorg's block is: " There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing. If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must: Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked. If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. ".

WARNING: If you were blocked directly then you are using the wrong template and your block will not be reviewed since you have not provided a reason for unblocking. Please use {{unblock | reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} instead.

Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, or when you need checkuser assistance, please place {{subst:Unblock on hold-notification | 1=Itsangelaw}} on the administrator's talk page. Then replace this template with the following:

This user is asking that their block be reviewed:

Itsangelaw (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I was blocked because I used the same IP address as the user jackdotorg, which was flagged for promoting/advertising the Jack.org organization. I am in no way connected to the person who opened and posted on that account. However, I am currently interning at Jack.org, and as an unrelated side project, I have been working on the Jack.org Wikipedia page. While my current intern position may cause worry for bias, I promise you, I am practicing unbiased language and primarily using third-party sources (I can send you my draft as evidence, if necessary). I promise you, (1) I am not affiliated with the user who broke Wikipedia policy, (2) I am now familiar with the Wikipedia policy that user failed to uphold, and (3) I will never break that policy (again, I can submit my draft as evidence; you can decide if my intended page is unbiased enough).

Notes:

  • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
  • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

{{Unblock on hold |1=blocking administrator |2=I was blocked because I used the same IP address as the user jackdotorg, which was flagged for promoting/advertising the Jack.org organization. I am in no way connected to the person who opened and posted on that account. While my current intern position may cause worry for bias, I promise you, I am practicing unbiased language and primarily using third-party sources (I can send you my draft as evidence, if necessary). I promise you, (1) I am not affiliated with the user who broke Wikipedia policy, (2) I am now familiar with the Wikipedia policy that user failed to uphold, and (3) I will ''never'' break that policy (again, I can submit my draft as evidence; you can decide if my intended page is unbiased enough). |3 = ~~~~}}

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting {{subst:Decline reason here}} with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.

{{unblock reviewed |1=I was blocked because I used the same IP address as the user jackdotorg, which was flagged for promoting/advertising the Jack.org organization. If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following, substituting Accept reason here with your rationale:
