Plot

Ganga is a housemaid residing at a house outside a rich family palace by serving the family. Rajashekar, the owner of the palace, an esteemed man in his early sixties, who lives in a small town with his sister and only son. His family is highly respected among the residents of the town. They have many relatives, yet lead a secluded life in the palatial home.

Ganga is very passionate about the snake mound outside the palace. She worships the snake residing in it as ‘Nagamma’,does poojas everyday on the mount and also does "NaggaTheyyam" every 20th Amavasi, unaware of the fact that the snake is actually an "Ichchadhaari Nagam", (Avenging Shapeshifting snake) which has been waiting since many years to avenge the elder’s family and is under the control of a magical bond of a Malayali Nambhoodhiri. In case, a drop of blood from a virgin girl’s body, who is the worshiper of the snake, is secreted on the snake’s body, it would regain all its powers. Rajashekar decides to get his son Arun, who is a widower, remarried. His relatives are summoned, who, on arrival but eye the wealth of the family. However, mysterious events take place after the relatives arrive.

Namboodhri revealed that Arun’s first wife Janaki’s spirit causes all the confusion. It is also revealed that Janaki’s spirit plays all the tricks to stop the asset-hungry relatives who were trying to cheat her husband Arun. The Nambhoodhiri understands from the spirit of Janaki, that her romantic life with Arun which was like all roses was ended by her death due to childbirth complications was actually killed by Arun’s uncle Dharmaraj, his son Moorthy & Arun's friend Balaji. Meanwhile, Arun learns that Devasena, his child through Janaki, is alive and brings her to the Palace. Janaki kills Arun's friend Balaji as a vengeance of her death. The relatives who are already panicked by Janaki’s spirit are further discouraged by Devasena’s arrival, and get away from the marriage arrangements. The Nambhoodhiri advises the family to marry Ganga, who has the divine blessings, to Arun. One day, Ganga's blood accidentally falls onto the snake’s body in the snake mound breaking the supernatural curse which kept the "Icchaadhaari Nagam" sealed in the snake mound.

After this incident, the snake is now free from its curse and is getting ready to avenge Rajasekar’s family. The Ichchadhari snake mentions to Ganga that it requires a human body to exact its revenge without any suspicions from anyone in the family and while revealing her identity as an individual in the name of Nandini, even though Ganga refuses to accept and allow Nandini (Icchaadhaari Nagam) to continue her vengeance and kill the whole family, Nandini vehemently continues its sole purpose by transmigrating herself into Ganga's body, therefore successfully possessing Ganga. The next day was Ganga's and Arun's marriage, which happened while Nandini was in Ganga's body. Therefore, Arun married both Nandini (who became Arun's unsuspecting official third wife) and Ganga (who became Arun's official second wife but she wasn't aware of the marriage until Nandini told her). Janaki enters Devasena's body to save her family and finish the evil Nandini's tricks. After many incidents, Nandini fails to kill Arun and Devasena because of Janaki.

Later, it is revealed that twenty years ago, Rajasekhar and two of his friends (business partners) had stolen three Kalachakras (A powerful yantra that is said to grant unparalleled wealth and powers if an individual comes in control of it) each for themselves which was originally under the idol of snake -goddess named Kattu Amman by killing Sivanagam/Parvathi & Muniappan's wife. Namboothiri trapped the baby snake, Nandhini in a snake mound. There are total of three Kalachakras named, Mayoora Kalachakra (Peacock element), Varana Kalachakra (Elephant element) and Padma Kalachakra (Lotus Element) respectively.

Muniappa's biological daughter Gayathri somehow survived this incident and was brought to an orphanage whereby she was later on adopted by her adopted parents and is currently residing in a foreign country. Remembering her vow that Nandini had given to her mother which is to get back the 3 Kalachakram safely, Nandhini executed her plan by killing Rajasekhar's friend at the hospital and threw the whole blame on innocent Ganga by getting out of her body. But somehow Arun got Ganga released with the help of some higher officials. Then, a powerful Thirunangai (Riyaz Khan) called Seiyanayagi, who is an avid Karuppusamy worshipper becomes Ganga's well wisher and the protector of her family.

At this tremendous situation, here a new twist arises in the form of Seeta (a woman with the exact facial features of Janaki) who will be making an intro again in Arun's, Ganga and Devasena's life. After this Arun and Ganga leaves to Kerala to celebrate their Honeymoon and they stayed in a Hotel. On that night Arun discovers the presence of Seeta in the Bhagavathy Amman Temple at Kerala, who was being chased by a bunch of goons. Arun ties the thali on Seeta's neck which Arun (reluctantly) does it only to save her from the goons. Arun then brings Seeta back to his room and surprises Ganga who was astonished to see someone who looks exactly like Janaki and also she comes to know about her background and decided to help her out. They brought Seetha to their palace. At that moment Rajashekar calls the Namboothiri and asks him if there is any other way to permanently stop Nandini from seeking her vengeance, to which the Namboothiri says that it is possible and the only way is to murder Ganga.

Bhairavi (Janaki's cousin sister, who previously in the past vowed to kill Arun for making her sibling, Kavitha to suicide) meets Arun in the present day. In reality, Kavitha misunderstood Arun's friendship as love and committed suicide after witnessing the marriage between Arun and Janaki. Arun confronted her and Bhairavi lied to him that she had recovered and have no longer the intentions to kill him. Since she was from Janaki's village, he decided to give her a place to stay in his palace. It is then revealed that Bhairavi's main plan is to arrive at the palace to regain the "Kalachakram" from Rajasekhar, concurrently revenge Arun who made her sister Kavitha to commit suicide. Bhairavi is a powerful magician too who is another element of Kaatu Amman in the name of Yogini/Selli Amman's Ubashini.

Siva Nagam/Parvati who had deceased, enters into human world via the samadhi state to have her revenge on Rajashekar, his friends and his family. She secretly meets Ganga and mentions to Ganga about all the injustices committed by Rajashekar and his friends to herself and the Kattu Amman which is why Nandini possesses a vengeful character in person. After mentioning this, she disappears. Ganga became very worried about her family's safety and asked Rajasekhar to give her all three Kalachakras for her to return back to Kattu Amman.

Parvati then meets Nandhini and mentions to Muniappa that Nandini must be safeguarded ntil the arrival of Margazhi Pournami whereby according to the prophecy involved, Nandini will take a human form (Naga Kanni status) during Margazhi Pournami and attain invincible powers. Later, Ganga found out that Arun and Seetha secretly got married but did not had the courage to confront them because she was in a great dilemma and depression. On the same day, Ganga decided to go to Parvatipuram to return the Kalachakram to the Kattu Amman. Ganga made her move by taking the bag containing 3 Kalachakram and leaving the house. The bag full of Kalachakras was actually fake Kalachakras which were given by Rajasekhar to fool Ganga.

Ganga arrives at the Kattu Amman temple and she offered the 3 Kalachakrams at the feet of the goddess to which the 3 Kalachakram burned by Kaattu Amman, exposing the fake Kalachakrams. Ganga who came to know the truth decided to confront Rajashekar about this conspiracy but on her way she was brutally beaten by Rajasekhar's goons. Rajasekhar, Vichu, Nambothiri and the goons killed Ganga together and buried her inside the soils of Parvatipuram forest.

Actually Ganga did not died and was only unconscious. Before this, Ganga silently recorded a video in her phone, which shows Rajashekar stabbing her brutally. Nandhini could not help Ganga at this time, as Muniappan had stopped her from going as it is a trap by Nambothiri to lure Nandhini to their side by using Ganga's suffering as a bait. Seiyanayagi rescues the buried Ganga with the help of some forest tribal groups and kept her under the tribes' custody to give her treatment and medication.

Soon Rajasekhar's family came to know about the disappearance of Ganga. They suspected Ganga had left the house after she knew that Arun and Seetha got married. Arun and Seetha, feels bad for not revealing the truth to Ganga in the first place and regrets. The killing video of Ganga fell in the hands of Bhairavi. Bhairavi wants all the Three Kalachakras from Rajasekhar and she blackmails him if she does not get them, she will reveal the video evidence of Rajasekhar killing Ganga to everyone including police. Nambothiri requests Bhairavi to disguise as Ganga first to make Arun believe that she is the real Ganga. Bhairavi decided to disguise herself as Ganga by changing her own appearance to Ganga's appearance. Rajasekhar promised her that he will give all his Kalachakras to Bhairavi if she succeeds in making Arun believe that she is Ganga.

Night of Margazhi Pournami falls, Nandhini successfully transformed into a human completely under the lights of the full moon. The female form that she took is of Ganga's form. Ganga's face and body is given to Nandhini by the Snake Goddess. Nambothiri learns that Nandhini already succeeded in transforming into a human but do not know which human form that she took. Nambothiri said he is helpless now and cannot do anything else to save them. The Three Kalachakras are the only ones that can save them from Nandhini. Nandhini killed Nambothiri in a very, brutal manner and buried him in front of the Kaatu Amman temple. She and Muniappan discussed and they decided that Nandhini must enter Rajasekhar's palace as Ganga in order to facilitate the process of obtaining all the Three Kalachakras as well as to avenge all their enemies.

Just as Bhairavi about to enter the palace by disguising as Ganga, she is stopped by Nandhini who also has the same appearance of Ganga. Nandhini trapped Bhairavi inside her magic threads and simultaneously enters the palace as Ganga. Everyone believed that she is indeed Ganga. Secretly, Ganga transformed Bhairavi's appearance into a fish and put her inside a fish tank in the house. Seetha leaves the house forever after knowing Ganga is back, as she does not want to interfere in the marital life of Ganga-Arun anymore. Rajasekhar and Vichu believes the current Ganga is actually Bhairavi in disguise but are unaware that she is the real Nandhini impersonating as Ganga in their house.

Meanwhile, Nambothiri's sister, Madhavi is revealed to be conducting a deep penance after vowing that she will kill the snake species in the world and avenge her husband's death who had died due to a snake bite. After the completion of the deep penance, Madhavi will attain the status of Sivaghanam (the ultimate position equivalent to Lord Shiva's powers according to a prophecy) Rajasekhar and Vichu did not want to reveal the tragic news of Nambothiri's death first to Madhavi. Nandhini learns that Madhavi who betrayed her family 20 years ago along with Rajasekhar and his friends is still alive and is in the process of becoming a Sivaghanam. She plans to abort Madhavi's penance, thus preventing her from becoming a Sivaghanam. Nandhini managed to abort Madhavi's penance by using Devasena. Janaki stops Madhavi from hurting Devasena and both of them starts to fight but Janaki eventually got tied up by Madhavi. Janaki's spirit is now bounded by magic rope tied by Madhavi.

Madhavi soon learns that Nambothiri had died, murdered by Nandhini and Rajasekhar had concealed this matter to her. She is very enraged on her brother's death. She swears to destroy Nandhini for killing her brother. Madhavi also found out about the location of the third Kalachakra by summoning Nambothiri's spirit. Nambothiri's spirit revealed that the Kalachakra is buried under a Tulsi plant structure, at his backyard. Madhavi also asked Nambothiri about Nandhini's human form as she don't know how Nandhini will look like. It seems Nandhini's transformation is a celestial secret and an ordinary spirit like Nambothiri is unable to disclose it. In the mean time, Nandhini and Muniappan arrived at the backyard of Nambothiri's house and somehow managed to figure out the location of "Varana Kalachakra" which is buried under the Tulsi plant structure.

But it was a disappointment for Madhavi after she came to the backyard only to see the Kalachakara has been already taken by Nandhini and Muniappan. Madhavi immediately starts off to Kattu Amman temple to meet Nandhini. At Kattu Amman temple, Nandhini and Muniappan placed the Kalachakra at the feet of the statue. Kattu Amman accepted the Kalachakra by placing it underneath her statue and the Goddess's statue emits a divine light. Madhavi arrived at the temple after a short while Nandhini and Muniappan left. She learns that Nandhini already presented the third "Varana Kalachakra" to Kattu Amman and she vows that she won't let Nandhini to present the remaining two Kalachakras to Kattu Amman. She created a magic wall surrounding Kattu Amman's statue, preventing any living beings from getting near to the statue.

Madhavi meets Rajasekhar and Vichu at their residential area. Rajasekhar and Vichu comes to know that Madhavi now no longer can become a Sivaghanam again but Madhavi still has mighty powers to control Nandhini and trap her. Nandhini then tried to kill Vichu and Vichu revealed the location of his "Mayoora Kalchakra" after continuous torment Nandhini had given to him. But later Nandhini found out that the Mayoora Kalachakra is with Arun and not Vichu. Meanwhile, everyone in the palace are eagerly waiting for Sandhya, Moorthy's lover from Malaysia to arrive. Sandhya (Gayathri) together with her adopted parents arrives at the palace to meet the family.

Pre-engagement function had been finalised between Sandhya and Moorthy. It is then revealed that Sandhya (her real name as Gayathri) came to the palace only to avenge Rajasekhar for the unjust he had committed towards her biological family 20 years ago. She needed Moorthy's alliance as an excuse to enter the palace. Nandhini revealed herself to Gayathri, that she is Nandhini, and not Ganga, the same baby snake whom she used to adore 20 years ago. Nandhini and Gayathri joined hands to revenge their enemies together. The next day morning, Nandhini brought Gayathri to meet Muniappan. Muniappan and Gayathri reunites after been separated for 20 years ago.

Meanwhile, Arun brings the "Mayoora Kalachakra" that he has, to Seiyanayagi and asks her to help him detect what kind of item it is. Seiyanayagi said that she needs it for one day to detect it and will return him within one day. Without Arun's knowing, Seiyanayagi goes to the home of the tribal clan who is safeguarding the unconscious Ganga, and placed the Kalachakra on her body. Ganga revives from her coma stage. Seiyanayagi said that Ganga needs to go back to the palace, and it is revealed Ganga had forgiven Rajasekhar and his gang for brutally attempted to murder her.

Next, Nandhini tried to kill Arun and take the Mayoora Kalachakra from him, but her action was stopped by the sudden appearance of the real Ganga. Nandhini who saw Ganga realized that she is still alive, left them alone. Arun brought Ganga back home thinking that she is the same Ganga who he had been with all these while, but unaware that she is the real Ganga. Now Nandhini is unable to go back to the palace ever again since the real Ganga is back. Seiyanayagi reveals to Ganga that Nandini had gotten her human form and she was the one who was in her place all these days.

But Nandhini had somehow managed to obtain the Mayoora Kalachakra and successfully killed her next enemy, Vichu by burning him alive after torturing him using blood sucking leeches. After Vichu's death, Rajasekhar and Madhavi came to know from Seiyanayagi that if Nandhini doesn’t return the remaining Kalachakras to the Kaattu Amman within two full moon days (Pournami), she will loose her power as a Shakthi Naagam and become an ordinary snake. Meanwhile, Bhairavi who is trapped as a fish, escaped and attains her human form, which then meets Rajasekhar and Madhavi and finally reveals all the truth about Nandhini and her human form. Next, Bhairavi, Rajasekhar and Madhavi finally come to know that Ganga has returned alive while the real Nandhini is outside the palace.

Meanwhile, when Nandhini is about to return the Mayoora Kalachakra to Kattu Amman, she learns about the Madhavi's spell which bounded the temple and managed to force Madhavi to break the magic spell around Kaattu Amman temple. When Nandhini is about to place the Mayoora Kalachakra back to its place, Madhavi throws away the Kalachakra, which in turn landed on the hands of Bhairavi. Bhairavi took away the Mayoora Kalachakra from them. Both Nandhini and Madhavi try to retrieve the Kalachakra from Bhairavi.

Meanwhile, Rajasekhar finally comes to know that Sandhya is actually Gayathri, the biological daughter of Muniappan who entered the palace to avenge him. Rajasekhar brainwashed Gayathri and reveals to her that Muniappan is the one who spilled the beans about the existence of the Three Kalachakras. When Gayathri calls Muniappan to verify this, her father admits that he accidentally told the secret to Rajasekhar 20 years ago. Gayathri reduces her anger towards Rajashekhar and misunderstands her father. But Gayathri's foster parents called off the wedding between her and Moorthy, and three of them left the palace due to an argument occurred with Devi and Annapoorani. Still, Sandhya comes back to the palace despite of her parents' decision.

Bhairavi vows that she will obtain the remaining 2 Kalachakras as she needs all the powers of the Three Kalachakras to make her deceased sister, Kavitha back to life. Meanwhile, Madhavi releases Janaki's spirit from her magic rope to learn more about Bhairavi and her deceased sister from Janaki. With help of Janaki, Madhavi traps Kavitha's ghost inside a well, behind Rajasekhar's palace to trigger Bhairavi's anger and through this, they can retrieve the Mayoora Kalachakra from Bhairavi. But Bhairavi discovered Madhavi's plan and she trapped Arun in a deserted bungalow while she herself transformed into Arun's appearance and entered the palace impersonating as Arun to release Kavitha's soul.

Ganga somehow found out Bhairavi's tricks but threatened by Bhairavi to conceal this matter. Immediately, Bhairavi released Kavitha's soul from the well and instructs her to possess Ganga's body. But Janaki prevents Kavitha from entering Ganga's body.So Kavitha enters Maya's body. The next day,Ganga goes out to meet Seinanayaki, but is kidnapped by Muniyappan as instructed by Nandini.Nandini enters the palace with the motive of getting the Kalachakras.Due to Kaatu Amman's blessings,Nandini is unrecognised by Janaki.
