Thilo Kehrer (born 21 September 1996) is a German footballer who plays as a defender for Paris Saint-Germain.[1]

Club career

Kehrer is a youth exponent from Schalke 04. He made his Bundesliga debut on 6 February 2015 against VfL Wolfsburg in a 3-0 home win.[2] He scored his first goal for the club on 1 April 2017 in a derby against Borussia Dortmund at home, producing the equalizer in a 1–1 draw.[3]

On 5 May 2018 he scored twice as Schalke secured second place in the Bundesliga for the 2017-18 season and UEFA Champions League Football for the 2018-19 season.[4]

On 12 August 2018 it was announced that Kehrer had been traded to Paris Saint-Germain for 37 million euros.[1]

International career

Kehrer is a youth international for Germany.[5] Thilo won the U-21 Euros in 2017 and has captained the German U-21s against Kosovo, Azerbaijan and Israel.[6]

Personal life

Kehrer was born in Germany to a German father and a Burundian mother.[7]
