Request reason:

My name has been Alex and I have a doctorate, hence my name. I didn't check every other Wikipedia username before making my account. AlexTheWhovian just seems angry that I reverted his BRD edit because it looked worse. I am not associated with any other user or IP.

Decline reason:

Someone else will review your request, but "AlexTheDoctor" seems to be an attempt to have a similar name to "AlexTheWhovian", As "The Doctor" is the main character in Doctor Who, fans of which could be called Whovians. The block was solely because of the username, so the creation and use of AlexTheEconomicDoctor is legitimate. The user is on a path to be blocked soon for WP:EW, and I make no claim that the new username is appropriate. I think it's borderline, especially given the ludicrous claim here that the user was unaware of AlexTheWhovian, but I'll leave that to 331dot to consider. --Yamla (talk) 12:36, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I am not edit warring. It's not a "ludicrous claim", coincidence that I edited that page first. I haven't edited any others due to this matter. Whovian seems to edit a lot of pages so it's likely we would meet anyway so it's only a matter of time before he got pathetic and defensive about "his" name.
