Championships is the fourth studio album by American rapper Meek Mill, released on November 30, 2018, through Atlantic Records and Maybach Music Group.[2] It follows his Legends of the Summer EP, released earlier in 2018. Championships features guest appearances from Cardi B, Kodak Black, Fabolous, Ella Mai, Jay-Z, Rick Ross and Drake, among others.[3]

Background

The album will reportedly include songs about Meek Mill's "experiences and issues with social justice" following his release from prison earlier in 2018.[4]

Release and promotion

On November 14, 2018, Meek Mill appeared in a Vogue interview, playing a portion of his collaboration with rapper Cardi B and revealing the album would be released on November 30, 2018.[5] He later announced the album's title, release date and cover art on social media on November 16, 2018. The cover art, a close-up shot of Meek Mill's face, was called "minimalist".[6] The tracklist was revealed on November 29, 2018.[3]

Singles

On November 22, 2018, "Oodles o' Noodles Babies" and "Uptown Vibes" featuring Fabolous and Anuel AA were released as singles.[7] Meek Mill performed "Oodles o' Noodles Babies" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon the same day.[8]
