Bala Cynwyd Middle School or BCMS located on 510 Bryn Mawr Avenue, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 is an American public Middle School in the Lower Merion School District. The school's logo is a knight known as the BC Knight. The school has an alma mater called Bala Cynwyd Alma Mater. There are exactly 856 students and 73 teachers, as of November, 2006. The Principal is Dr. Patricia Haupt, with Margery Andersen as First Assistant Principal as well as Gail Brown as Second Assistant Principal. Most of the BCMS teachers have an online message board at the Lower Merion School District website. This school became part of the Blue Ribbon School Program during the 2001-2002 school year.[citation needed]

The Bala Cynwyd Junior High School (now Middle School) was founded on Febuary 1940 right beside the Lower Merion Academy.
