Template:Future 8 Films To Die For (a.k.a. "Horrorfest") is a 3-night horror film festival featuring eight independent horror movies, all produced by After Dark Films. The festival will run from November 17-19 2006 in 500 different theaters around the United States.

According to the trailer, the content of these films are considered too graphic, too disturbing, and too shocking for general audiences.

Snoop Doggs Hood of Horrors
A bonus ninth movie is available for purchasers of the eight movie pass. Details have yet to be released.

Miss Horrorfest 2006

A contest for the 'official spokeswoman' of the film series and for After Dark Films was announced in Late September on YouTube. Participants auditioned both online and in person at Los Angeles and New York locations, and were later flown to those cities to appear on The Fuse/Fangoria Chainsaw Awards, The Dee Snider Radio Show, and a short series of reality-style movies featured on YouTube. The four finalists were Chieko, MsBlackBetty, DarkSpider, and MaryAnne. Internet voting ended on November 9th. It was announced that the winner will be named on December 20th. This is a bit confusing, given that the movie festival takes place a full month before that.

Pre-HorrorFest Celebration

On Thursday, November 16, 2006, Dark Delicacies, a horror-themed bookstore in Burbank, CA will host a signing event with about 30 filmmakers and talents from the movies.[1]
