Interland (NasdaqINLD) was founded by Ken Gravonivich. It was later acquired by MicronPC. Micron then sold off the PC business and changed its name to Interland. The company was run by Joel Kocher until August 2005 when Jeff Stibel took over as CEO. In February 2006, the company changed its name to Web.com.

The company has built over four million websites for small businesses. Interland also acquired numerous hosting companies throughout the past 10 years, including HostPro, Innerhost, Interland, Burlee, Trellix, Communitech, WazooWeb and most recently Web.com.
