Elliott Francis is an American television, radio and digital journalist.

Born in the Dorchester section of Boston, Massachusetts, Francis graduated Wayland High School, Wayland, Massachusetts and attended American International College in Springfield, MA graduating in 1976 with a BA in English Literature/Journalism.

A two-time New England Emmy Award winning television news anchor and reporter, Francis began his professional career immediately upon graduation, as afternoon drive announcer for WILD-1090 AM radio in Boston, MA. Three years later, he moved on to television as afternoon news anchor and co-host for WQTV-TV 68's daily news magazine Boston...Live! and reporter for WBZ-TV's 4-Today' morning program. In 1984, Francis became the host of WGBH-TV's long running public affairs target series, 'Say Brother', a position he held until 1991 when he was recruited to anchor Johnson Publishing Company's nationally syndicated television magazine, 'Ebony/Jet Showcase'.

Francis has also anchored, or reported for 'The Turner Entertainment Report' and Headline News (CNN), FOX News Channel, Orange County Newschannel and KCBS-TV in Los Angeles.

In 2002, Francis was named co-anchor for WJLA-TV's (ABC-7) 'Good Morning Washington' where he, soon after, became part of the 3-week extended coverage of the region's 'D.C. Sniper Attacks'. Francis was also a reporter for NPR's top rated local affiliate, WAMU-FM in Washington D.C and for 2-years, the station's local host for 'All Things Considered'. At WAMU, he won a 2011 Associated Press Award for Breaking News for his live coverage of the 2010 Discovery Channel Building Hostage Standoff. Francis is currently overnight news anchor for Westwood One News (Cumulus Media) serving 700 affiliates nationally along with 'POTUS' and 'Progress' SiriusXM satellite stations.

Elliott Francis is also the founder and president of Inside Image Productions LLC, a new media/streaming video, design and consulting firm. An FAA 'Part 107' certified drone pilot, Francis is listed as preferred pilot for the DC region for CNN Aerial Imagery and Reporting. (CNN-AIR)

A PADI rescue level SCUBA diver, and a private pilot (student), Francis is married to American actress Arnetia Walker. They have one child, Trevor Francis, an aspiring film maker based in Los Angeles.
