Waiata (album)

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by 202.74.219.47 (talk) at 11:20, 27 December 2004 (Sixth studio album; corrected spelling; elaborated on hit singles.). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

The sixth album released by New Zealand band Split Enz was given different titles in Australia and New Zealand, both referring to traditional native singing - Corroboree is an Australian Aborigine term for singing, and Waiata has the same meaning in Maori.

The album was successful, but failed to capture the same audience as the previous album True Colours. The singles History never Repeats and One Step Ahead" were, however hits on both sides of the Tasman Sea.
