Playrix is one of the world's top mobile games and PC/Mac games developers,[2] employing more than 1000[3] people across several offices. The company has released four mobile free-to-play games: Township, Fishdom, Gardenscapes, and Homescapes. All of its projects have consistently been among the Top 50 Grossing Apps for iOS and Google Play since their release.[4]

By the end of 2016, the company was among the 20 highest grossing mobile game developers around the world.[5]

In 2016, Facebook named Gardenscapes its game of the year.[6]

In August 2017 Playrix became the highest grossing mobile game developer in Europe,[7] and as of September of the same year, it became the 9th highest on Android[8] and the 10th highest on iOS[9] worldwide. Later that month, the company released[10] their new game: Homescapes, which features Austin, the same main character in Gardenscapes.

In 2018, Playrix became the No. 9 highest grossing game publisher globally on the iOS and Google Play stores.[11]

In 2018 and 2019, Playrix has been creating numerous false adverts for their games, where they show a room or an area in a complete mess and the player has to choose a certain item for certain problems. They would have titles such as "Why is this game so hard?", "95% of people cannot pass" or "Save your garden". The player in the video is shown to be completely incompetent by choosing the wrong items for a certain problem, such as adding gasoline to fire or knocking a sink or a fish tank with a hammer, and they would include the word "fail" in the end of the false gameplay. Many other mobile game developers would later copy this illegal tactic and falsely advertise their games to the public.
