shooting the messenger again

I have no idea what or who we in the message on my page actually refers to, have you become duplicated in some way? For a range of issues, I can offer links, but have absolutely no intention of putting my thoughts on wiki for a range of reasons JarrahTree 03:47, 9 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The editorial "we", of course, ...

so who says

Wikitown over wiki town? you or some other genious (sp intentinal seeing you seem to spend yourlife with sp mistakes :) JarrahTree 06:23, 6 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I did check various pages, and there appeared to be no real consistency in existing usage when I created Category:Wikitown projects. If we can get some defined, consistent usage across Wikipedia, I'll be happy to follow that consistent usage. Mitch Ames (talk) 06:32, 6 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The point is the western australian wiki towns are not dependent on other attempts of the phenomeon - and if I had noticed you create the abomination of a category I would have been irate and here with my usual GRRR - in good faith it would be great to have it changed to Wiki Towns at some stage in the future - wikitowns is a terrible derivation - bit like Sydney Australia that everyone lives with, or the really masterfull (sic) location on iphones and other weird devices of information to have Western Australia, Australia as a location - we live in a planet accompanied by oxymorons like that ? Toodyaypedia stage 3

Also the assertion that stage 3 commenced in 2018 ok, but remember the outreach/info going out - is that june 2019 was the 'launch' of the results of stage 3 then - does that parse out ok JarrahTree 06:26, 6 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I think the whole paragraph about one booklet based on the Toodyay stage 3 research is WP:UNDUE WP:RECENTISM, and I'd just as soon delete it. However if you really want to keep it, let me know, so I can fix the speling and, punctuation mistakes in it Mitch Ames (talk) 06:48, 6 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The whole issue is that in places you cannot get your editing skills fully stretched (ie another wiki where I dont think you have ever ventured) - the june event is being communicated as the launching of the results of stage 3 - probably grammatically and tense wise very challenged - so in the strictest grammatical sense the event that we were at was the culmination - so to pursue the earliest mention is potentially a rabbit hole wrong direction - the resultant stage is what we are ascertaining - the point where booklet is produced and over 40 local toodyay persons attend the event is actually the point where the historian, wikipedians and the history society and local government authority reach a point where the fruits of the research labours have uncovered a fascinating labyrinth of misdemeanours in 1988... the publication is a testament to the hard labours and the very narrow events of early 1800s in which the communicty functioned - and in maggies slide show the actual points of contention are actually specifically identified - an invitation to observors to ponder the issues of the problems of believing bits of rock and plaques on them... JarrahTree 09:46, 6 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

So to even consider to delete is bad faith imho - missuses the notion of what the pamphleet actually represents in the process of the identification and clarification of a notoriously difficult part of early toodyay history JarrahTree 09:49, 6 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I've made a few changes, which (amongst other things) removes the word "launch" so as to avoid possible misinterpretations of that word. Mitch Ames (talk) 09:56, 6 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Youth soccer teams

Thanks for your edit on Perth Glory Youth. please consider making similar changes to the rest of the equivalent teams in this league for consistency. These articles have in my opinion gone a bit awry, with people pushing their own barrows that these are official Reserves teams (to match the EPL format which it does not), and more recently to renaming to U-25s (which is not what the teams are known as). Everywhere in the media these are Youth teams. Matilda Maniac (talk) 01:48, 7 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
