Tapan Acharya[1] (born 2 August 1981) is a popular Indian actor, writer, producer and director. Who is known for his work in Marathi, Konkani Cinema. He is best known for his work in konkani movie Martin (2017 film), Aleesha (film).[2] and he also worked as state youth icon for Election Commission of India to increase awareness in voters of Goa. [3]

Early life

Tapan Acharya was born in Goud Saraswat Brahmin family in a Small village Loliem-Polem towards Southern Boundary of the state Goa. he did his schooling in his village school Shri Damodar Vidhalaya, and completed his graduation in Shri Damodar College of Commerce and Economics, Margao, South-Goa. While perusing degree in law he also completed PG dip in Mgt studies. He has sound knowledge in Astrology, Numerology, Vedas, Mythology. He holds various diploma and certificates in Gemology, Astrology & Vedic studies..[4]

Career

Although he always wanted to be behind camera, circumstances forced him to host TV show on Doordarshan Goa which was big supper hit dance reality show called as Chum chanana. Than it was his first film Its my life (2006) Directed by Dynanesh Moghe, his official debut was with Aleesha) 2004, [5] Which was released in First IFFI at Goa, it was the most well received movie which won National Award for Best Feature Film in Regional Category.
