Ntinda Vocational Training Institute
Ntinda Vocational Training Institute(NTVTI), is a Government Vocational Training institute under Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES), supervised by the department of Business Technical Vocational Education and Training (BTVET).[1]
Location
The institute is located in the neighborhood of Ntinda, Martrys Way, Ministers Village in the Nakawa Division of Nakawa, Uganda's capital city and largest city. It is off the Nakawa-Ntinda Road.The geographical coordinates of institute are 0°21'18.0"N, 32°36'52.0"E (Latitude:0.3516187; Longitude:32.6177307).[2]
Overview
Ntinda Vocational Training Institute was established through cooperation between the Republic of Korea and Uganda Governments to serve for the Job seeker, the unemployed, the youth and workers in the skills sector.[3] The Institute is composed of five blocks which entail the following; the main building (Offices,Lecture rooms and computer rooms), Three Workshop blocks (Electrical and Fashion designing block), Automobile mechanics block, Welding and Plumbing block), a Multipurpose room (to serve as dining Hall as well as Auditorium).[4]
Courses
In its Second year of Operation, the Institute is Operating in the following courses:[5] (1) Fashion and Garment Design (2) Welding and Fabrication (3) Plumbing (4) Automobile Mechanics (5) Electrical Installation Systems and Maintenance.[6]
