Help - sorry! Didn't know what I was doing was wrong...

Hi Glen

Thanks so much for your message. Your guidance is useful and thanks for contacting me. However I am confused. I'd really like to include links to a useful site for young people, where the content is directed specifically at them. The sections I have been attempting to add to do not offer this within the content. Is this wrong? The site I'm linking to is not a commercial service. Hope you can help me. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Esther Cameron (talkcontribs) December 1, 2006.

Gracenotes has smiled in your general direction!

Kevin Federline article

I have been reworking the Kevin Federline article to keep it NPOV. I hope I have succeeded. Could you read it through and tell me if you think it meets Wiki NPOV standards now? Maybe in a year or so I'll get my own Barnstar for checking it daily and keeping it NPOV. :) But seriously, I would really like your opinion on its current NPOV status. Thanks! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Michaelh2001 (talkcontribs) 16:43, 5 December 2006 (UTC).

:o

I completely forgot about admin coaching! And somehow it didn't pop up on my watchlist... going there now. Sorry about the delay! riana_dzasta 06:58, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Which template do you mean? I never thought I'd be guilty of that particular Wikicrime! :) riana_dzasta 09:43, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Late Thank You

Thank you for helping solve the matter with Doll Graveyard. It was quite a mess and to me you were always fair and neutral, not to mention helpful. Next time I write a movie article, I may check with to see if it has what it needs to be an article here. :) Continue your good work as admin! -WarthogDemon 09:32, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Please protect Sunderland AFC

The article Sunderland AFC has been persistantly vandalised over the past few weeks by multiple Ip's and users. Well over 20 times, I can see this by its history, I request proctection to the article. I' am Sheogarath, a new user to Wikipedia. But a long term skilled user on Wikipedias sister project Wikiversity. The vandalism has contained constant swearing abuse and offense towards the club. Sheogarath 18:55, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Opinion Needed re: Potential Spam Links on Female Bodybuilding.

Thanks for unblocking my bot

Hi, I saw your block and subsequent unblock of my bot User:PockBot - sorry, I didn't realise I had to add a template on the page saying it was under trial, this is my first bot and I'm trying to do everything right but there's a lot of little rules its difficult to pickup at first! Not a problem that you blocked it, my fault for not having the correct template/flag on the page. Just out of interest, how did you come across or notice the bot's activites? Any thoughts on improvements etc are welcome since its still on trial and can be modified prior to final approval. (could you reply on my user talk page rather than here please?) Many Thanks - PocklingtonDan 14:39, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

It popped up on recent changes in the Vandalism Control Network channel, which isnt usual for a bot as all approved bots are hidden from our feed. So I took a look and thought I better block or you'd be killed by the Bots team :)
Sorry again, and wont happen again now :)  Glen  14:49, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
Ah OK, thanks. When the trial is over, do you know the correct template to substitute for the "on trial" one? Cheers - PocklingtonDan 14:52, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

Forgot to check, I'll do it, thanks, jimfbleak 18:17, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

Happy First Edit Day

Happy First Edit Anniversary From Randfan

Happy First Edit Day, Glen/Archive35, from the Wikipedia Birthday Committee, myself, and Bearly541! Congrats for staying with Wikipedia this long. Much too many people create new accounts, do a few minor edits, and just quit. Have a great day! --Randfan

CheckUser

Our little friend is reminding me more and more of some old friends from the past -- the word games, the hair-splittings hinging on precisely which definition of a particular word one chooses to regard as "the" meaning, the pretense that his only interest is in seeing that Wikipedia policies are followed... it may be time for that little check-up. -- Antaeus Feldspar 01:57, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

Asking that an article define what is meant by "doctrine" is hardly hair-splitting, because the way it seems to be used in articles like Space opera in Scientology doctrine doesn't match normal use - you know, like the dictionary definition, or Wikipedia's own Doctrine article. Sounds to me like you're trying to find a back-channel way to find a reason to "get rid of" someone who disagrees with you. Gee, just like the Church of Scientology!
