Leslie Berland was the first Chief Marketing Officer[1] that Twitter ever appointed.[2] She is also Head of People[3] at the firm.[4] Prior to that she spent over a decade[5] in executive roles at AmEx[6] establishing[7] the financial service company’s initial social media strategies.[8] (She also had executive PR roles at Ketchum[9] and GCI Health.[10] She is on the Board of Directors[11] of the Ad Council.)[12] Fast Company ranked Berland sixth[13] in their 100 Most Creative People in Business[14] for redefining the phrase social currency.[15] She was featured in Advertising Age's Creativity 50 list.[16] In 2018 she earned a place on the National Board of Directors at Make a Wish Foundation[17] Berland has a B.S. from Boston University in Communications.[18]
