Please restore Draft: Eric J. Wesley so that I can edit

Jim, this is the first article I've written, and I'm learning. You said there were copyright infringement issues on a recent draft "Eric J. Wesley". I took a few sentences from a military bio of his (though I cited). I'd like to edit to ensure it is in compliance with Wiki standards but cannot as it has been deleted. Could you perhaps move it to my sandbox or restore the draft? And if you have time, could you let me know what you think is suspect? Hello. I've reworked the draft article: Eric J. Wesley referenced above. I've added citations where necessary and wondered if you'd be kind enough to take another look at it? I had some difficulty with citing a biography of his from a U.S. Gov't page and it's difficult to chronicle what he did in his career without saying it the same way the biography does. BethewordSmith, I made these edits, mostly MoS. Note that it's best to write out US state names in full, not all yours readers will be American. I agree that it's difficult to present factual info to look different from the source, the main thing is that it shouldn't be verbatim. There were some intermediate image-related edits by admin JGHowes too.

I note that his decorations and awards are unsourced, I don't know if that will be an issue for an AFC reviewer. When you are ready, add {{subst:submit}} to the top of the page and save Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:52, 19 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request for a move on Commons

Jim,

I've been uploading distribution maps to Commons and I've made a mistake with the name of one of the files. Please could you rename (ie move without leaving a redirect):

ie there shouldn't be a space in "spurfowl".

Speedy Deletion of Narayan Jewellers

Hi, You have deleted a page named "Narayan Jewellers". I believe that page had sufficient reliable sources to be a part of wikipedia. If the was problem with the language or something else that can be edited then that article should have been nominated for Article for deletion instead of speedy deletion. Poojasharma20, I note that you have not responded to a COI query by another editor yet. You put lots of references (all as bare urls) but they were mostly press releases and interviews with the company owners, not proper independent third-party sources as required. Your text was just promoting the company in the usual way, a few lines of history then Achievements and Awards sections just saying how wonderful they are. No real verified facts such number of employees, number of stores, turnover or profits. For obvious fact-free promo like this, AFD isn't necessary. I did not responded to that COI because page was already deleted. I am a chartered accountant and working for an auditing organization which has nothing to do with promotion or writing articles about client. I tried to create pages for few people around the globe whoever i think should have a wikipedia. I do not get paid in any form by these people or companies. I have not posted real facts like number of employees or number of stores or turnover or profit because i do not know it (because I am not linked to them else I would have entered those details as well). Also, if you look at the guidance on your talk page, it had no independent sources, no facts to show notability (such as financials), and was basically self-serving promo rather than an encyclopaedia article. Speedy deletion reversal request (error fixed)

Not sure if I did this right but I created my first full page and it was marked for speedy deletion. I've edited only a couple of pages in the past, this was my first creation of a new page but due to my inexperience it came across as advertising. I am not a marketer or paid by the company. I was trying to fill the page with as many facts as possible and it came across as salesy and I don't want the referenced company to pay the price for my poor writing. I thought it would be helpful for anyone looking for information I thought would have been useful during my search. I scrubbed the article of any information I was uncertain about and resubmitted. It would be well advised for you to use WP:YFA, especially since this is your first article. Having not edited Wikipedia regularly within the past 5 years might I suggest holding off on article creation? I didn't write an article until like my fifth or so month of regularly editing. The article used terms like "unconventional financial model" which does come off as promotional and was only sourced to its own website. I suggest getting back into regularly editing and once you've read over our WP:Notability guidelines, then come back and write a draft. Thanks, I'm almost nervous to pick another subject. I made the "unconventional financial model" phrase up attempting to sound a bit fancy. That's not actually on the web site, I just found the approach they had a bit novel and wanted to find a cool way to convey that. I'm a dork, I know. What is the criteria for editing articles? Is it adding information that is not available but verifiable or correcting grammar? Thank you! This is helpful. I guessed my way around. Karhoo page deleted

Hi,

The Karhoo page I created has been deleted for being unambiguous promotion. I thought everything I wrote was objective and factual, I did not use any promotional wording and referenced everything with multiple sources. The article even included negative history about the company being shut down and links to competitors.

Is it possible to understand what part was considered promotional and be given a chance to edit or remove it please?

Your last two sections need to be referenced or removed, It would also help to reference at least some of Dixit has been featured along with his story on Aastha Channel, Republic TV(news channel), Network 18, History Channel, Doordarshan. Note that refs don't have to be in English as long as they are otherwise acceptable, just add {in Hindi) or whatever langage is used to the ref. I'm not a new Wikipedia user, I have been contributing for years and have over 100 edits. Additionally, I am not affiliated with Nvil in any way and I have never even used it, literally just trying to create some documentation for a product which seems to have none. I have no bad intentions at all, I created the page as a stub with the intention of other users filling it out because I could not - sorry that I couldn't do anything better than a brief description and a link, I suppose I'll refrain from creating pages that I can't flesh out myself.
