Added Source

I added a footnote to cite the source for Kathryn Bigelow being the first woman to win the Academy Award for Best Director. I know the source was cited in the photo caption, but I thought a footnote after the fact in the article would be helpful as well. Iliwysfyasbysuoi2 (talk) 20:02, 17 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Edited Bechdel Test Section

I rewrote the first sentence in the Bechdel Test section to add more information about its origin. Iliwysfyasbysuoi2 (talk) 14:53, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Plan for Contribution

I plan on adding a paragraph about Women Make Movies (WMM) under the organizations and awards section discussing its origins/history, goals, services, and work today. I may also include information about their director, Debra Zimmerman. I want to add information about WMM because they support independent women filmmakers, which is important when women are not represented in Hollywood. Additionally, I feel that WMM is similar to the organizations listed in the article already, so I think it should be included. Iliwysfyasbysuoi2 (talk) 15:42, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I plan on adding a section about Canadian women's role in the film industry and some of the accomplishments that they have made. I will be including information on Studio D to help discuss the role these women had in the film industry. I feel this should be included as it was the first government funded studio dedicated to women in the world. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MattDac (talkcontribs) 18:29, 2 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
