Added Source

I added a footnote to cite the source for Kathryn Bigelow being the first woman to win the Academy Award for Best Director. Plan for Contribution

I plan on adding a paragraph about Women Make Movies (WMM) under the organizations and awards section discussing its origins/history, goals, services, and work today. I may also include information about their director, Debra Zimmerman. I want to add information about WMM because they support independent women filmmakers, which is important when women are not represented in Hollywood. Additionally, I feel that WMM is similar to the organizations listed in the article already, so I think it should be included. Iliwysfyasbysuoi2 (talk) 15:42, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Iliwysfyasbysuoi2! When you do this make sure you link to the organization's Wikipedia entry. Also, don't hesitate to use sourcing from the organization's article and if you use any of the wording from the Wikipedia entry, make sure to make a note of this in your edit summary so that you can attribute the work. I plan on adding a section about Canadian women's role in the film industry and some of the accomplishments that they have made. I will be including information on Studio D to help discuss the role these women had in the film industry.
