WPJX/WKGA

I searched the archives of the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times, and I did not find any articles from 1992 that mentioned WKGA, but I did find articles from 1991 and 1993 which all stated that it was a Spanish language station at the time. I haven't been able to search north suburban papers, because the library that I use to search suburban papers is closed, but once the lockdown is lifted I will check them to see if they mention WKGA being an ESPN affiliate in 1992 or specify that it was classic country that they switched to in 1994.--Tdl1060 (talk) 06:26, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, this person (2600:8804:8040:fb0:e1f5:8493:1b85:f66a) is not being neutral either. I have provided numerous sources that confirm the format of Rebel Radio WPJX is: Heavy Metal. I have provided the person with numerous articles that confirm the format heard on WPJX is Heavy Metal, as it has been since Rebel Radio was created in 1994. Not one of these articles indicates the station is Active Rock:

Agreed. Your changes are supported by reliable sources and I disagree with the claim that your changes "conflicted with our neutral point of view and/or verifiability". However, I must caution you that both you and the IP editor have violated the three-revert rule many times over.--Tdl1060 (talk) 02:44, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your response. Sorry, I was not aware of the rule. Only trying to make the correct listing after 2600:8804:8040:fb0:e1f5:8493:1b85:f66a keeps removing the information.

This person (2600:8804:8040:fb0:e1f5:8493:1b85:f66a) does not understand that Rebel Radio WPJX airs a full time, unique format (Heavy Metal) that is not done on many other radio stations in the USA. There are only a few other examples of radio stations that are similar that I can think of. The other person believes that WPJX is an Active Rock, however anyone that listens to WPJX for 5 minutes will realize that the sound is much different. He/she seems to think that 'Heavy Metal' is not allowed as a category to define the format of any radio station. But that's what it is. Heavy Metal has been around since the late 60's, and Wikipedia has a huge article about the style: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heavy_metal_music

I usually just read articles on Wikipedia, and I do not know how to add links of the sources. Do you know how? Thanks,
