Nino Vitale (born August 24, 1970) is the Representative for the 85th district of the Ohio House of Representatives. Vitale is a former member of the Ohio State University Marching Band, and is a graduate of Ohio State University. Vitale is an NRA Certified Instructor, active in the Pro-Life movement, and has a black belt in martial arts. He also has been active in Cub Scouting, is an instrument rated FAA Pilot, he and his wife have been Ohio Foster Parents to 4 children and have 5 boys of their own. He has an MBA and has completed course work toward a Ph.D. He has worked for several companies including Apple Computer, Inc., Frigidaire Corporate, Wendy's International and several other firms in the marketing area.[1][self-published source] In 2014, Vitale opted to seek the seat held by term-limited state Representative John Adams, and won a divided primary by over 20 points.[2] He won the general election unopposed. Nino is the current Chair of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee. He is the Chair of the Government Oversight Committee known as the Sunset Committee and is also a member of the Public Utilities Committee and the Economic and Workforce Development Committee. He is currently employed by his family business, Johnson Welded Products, which produces parts for brake systems in heavy vehicles, such as trucks, buses, RVs, construction vehicles and school buses.
