The result was keep. per clear consensus, I have moved the article to List of ancient ships. (non-admin closure) --Puddleglum2.0(How's my driving?) 16:07, 4 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There's a basic OR problem with this article because "large" and "ancient" can mean different things to different people. The current list includes ships from the 3rd century BC to the 15th century. Moreover, most of the content is already in List of longest wooden ships as it's pretty clear that any reasonable definition of "ancient" excludes boats using more modern materials. Finally, two of the four boats on the list have dimensions that are the subject of much speculation. Pichpich (talk) 21:19, 26 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • That leaves just three list entries, hardly worth keeping unless it can be merged with another list of ships. Also can someone please give us a definition for ancient? Are we talking 100 years, 1000 years, B.C.??? Ajf773 (talk) 07:55, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
