Jitendra Kumar Soni (29 November 1981) is an Indian civil servant and Hindi author who served as Collector and Magistrate for Jhalawar district in Rajasthan. He is incumbent project director for Rajasthan Urban Infrastructure Development Project (RUIDP) of the Government of Rajasthan.[1]

Life and career

Soni gained his Ph.D. in Political Science from Rajasthan University, Jaipur.[citation needed] He writes in multiple languages including Hindi, Punjabi and Rajasthani. He has published more than 10 novels, short stories and collections. He was awarded the Sahitya Academy Yuva Puruskar in 2016 for his work Rankhaar.[2][3][4] He received the civilian lifesaving award Jeevan Raksha Padak for saving 8 lives. [5][6][7][8] He has been selected in top 10 IAS officers by "The Better India", IAS Officers Whose Amazing Initiatives Made 2019 Better. [9]
