List of lynching victims in the United States

I am genuinely trying to reach a compromise here, but you're refusing to engage. Given that we've been told to attempt to reach a consensus, that's going to require you explaining what criteria you're using to define what is and is not meant to be on this page. I have asked very clearly what your criteria are and even offered two separate starting points for discussion. I am unsure what more to do here, even friendly reminders to WP:AGF when you are actively accusing me of acting in bad faith are being ignored.

The article needs a definition, an issue you raised, but you are refusing to accept any (despite them being widely accepted, per the Talk page) or propose one yourself. Would it be helpful for us to WP:DR instead? I'm kind of at a loss when you're saying "That doesn't meet the definition," but refusing to answer "Ok, what is your definition then?" 2600:387:0:902:0:0:0:45 (talk) 16:32, 3 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Merchantville School District

In addition to the issues in this edit to the article for Merchantville School District regarding deletion of a source and changes to citation format proscribed by WP:CITEVAR, it comes off as a bit odd that you would end up on an article that I edited just two days ago that you had never before edited. This pattern seems to be occurring with increasing frequency. I can assure you that I'm not following around your edits. Is there anything I should be know about that justifies your heightened interest in my editing history? Alansohn (talk) 14:53, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • It seems that you feature prominently in the editing history of many articles relating to schools and localities in New Jersey. I intend to edit them; I don't select them based on whether or not you have edited them. It seems to me that you seem to take issue with every improvement I make, such as this one, which is obviously a huge improvement on the existing format. I also observed on another edit, that you immediately reverted my changes with an edit caption that included a personal attack, which I mentioned on your talk page. I can see you have put in a lot of work to these articles....Are you asserting that makes the article belong to you? Is there some reason that I should not edit articles relating to New Jersey?Jacona (talk) 15:04, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • In addition, the title Superintendent does not appear for Mr Strong on either source cited in the section. On Wikipedia, our edits need to be based on reliable sourcesJacona (talk) 15:08, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
      • As far as the cite format "change", I used the Wikipedia provided editor. I see that it changed the date format. Is that a huge problem? It seems like if it were, they would change the editor. As far as the wording goes, don't you feel the "Core members of the administration" followed by a list of just two" is incredibly awkward when compared to a prose format? • Take a look at this article.. I selected as the first entry in Category:School districts in Camden County, New Jersey. You edited on January 29. Is it OK if I edit it, or is that too soon after your edit? It contains some really awkward material...A list of schools that contains two lines for each school, which would be far better served by one line, and a list of administrators which would be far better served by one sentence than this very awkward looking list. When I fix something like this, I will look at the sources to see if the personnel and their titles need to be updated, as does (now that you've reverted to the incorrect version) the title of the Chief School Administrator in Merchantville. Do I have your permission to make these improvements? Or should I only suggest improvements and allow you to have complete control?Jacona (talk) 15:24, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Orlando High School, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Young (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).

Articles for Creation: List of reviewers by subject notice

Hi Jacona, you are receiving this notice because you are listed as an active Articles for Creation reviewer.

Recently a list of reviewers by area of expertise was created. This notice is being sent out to alert you to the existence of that list, and to encourage you to add your name to it. If you or other reviewers come across articles in the queue where an acceptance/decline hinges on specialist knowledge, this list should serve to facilitate contact with a fellow reviewer.

To end on a positive note, the backlog has dropped below 1,500, so thanks for all of the hard work some of you have been putting into the AfC process!

Sent to all Articles for Creation reviewers as a one-time notice. To opt-out of all massmessage mailings, you may add Category:Wikipedians who opt out of message delivery to your user talk page. Regards, Sam-2727 (talk)
