[edit]

Pocket Card Jockey received an aggregated review score of 83 on Metacritic, indicating "generally favorable reviews". CJ Andriessen of Destructoid gave a glowing review, praising the game's presentation, its writing, calling it "genuinely hilarious", and the game's luck, saying that the most fun he had in the game was when an unexpected event happened. He compared his experience with the game to how Tetris was received, wanting the game to be as popular as Tetris.[1] Nintendo Life's Thomas Whitehead gave a positive review, praising the game's presentation and calling the game addictive, though criticizing the game's balancing and luck, comparing the game's design to that of free-to-play mobile games.[3]
