Heartfulness Meditation

Heartfulness is a Raja Yoga system of meditation, also known as "Sahaj Marg" or the "Natural Path". It is connected to the Shri Ram Chandra Mission (SRCM) which was founded in 1945 in India[1], and representatives of the SRCM claim that there are 4 million practitioners of the system in 160 countries.[2]

Practices Offered

The core practices of Heartfulness includes following [3][4]:

  1. Relaxation - a short practice to bring quick relaxation and prepare the person for meditation
  2. Meditation - a method to calm one's mind by focusing the attention on the heart and ignoring the mental chatter
  3. Cleaning - also called as Rejuvenation, a technique for mental detoxification that uses suggestions to mentally clean impressions built by actions, reactions, thoughts and emotions.
  4. Prayer Connection - a short meditation done before bed time and before morning meditation to affirm the link with divinity inside
