Multiple issues

No sources, no notability. Felsic2 (talk) 17:10, 5 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Then bring the page up for deletion.--RAF910 (talk) 17:13, 5 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Later, perhaps. Let's see if it can be fixed first. Felsic2 (talk) 18:48, 5 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There are three paths to take for this page. One is to merge it with another page. The second is to find the relevant WP pages and give them relevant categories (e.g. AR-Rimfire). The third is to footnote it all. As it appears there are some that are linked, perhaps categories is the happier path --Dausha (talk) 18:32, 12 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Lack of sourcing

Let's be realistic here. The lack of sourcing here is problematic. The AfD ended in a keep, but that didn't absolve us from needing sources. Niteshift36 (talk) 17:02, 18 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced content in references section

This was in the wrong section and totally unsourced, possibly even signed (GLS):

  • BHW designated chamberings based on the 6.8 SPC and the 6.5 Grendel were developed by Black Hole Weaponry using their own reamer designs. As they are non-SAAMI cartridges some confusion may exist as each manufacturer makes changes in their own designs that while identically named they are actually different in specifications. GLS

Moving here for improvement before being returned to an appropriate section. -- BullRangifer (talk) PingMe 16:43, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • As I mentioned in December, the sourcing here needs a lot of work. I'm not keen on some of the sources that are being used, including small manufacturers and at least 1 book that looks like a self-pub. Niteshift36 (talk) 19:52, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This page is underutilized

The various pages for specific AR platform cartridges link haphazardly and incompletely to each other. For example, 6mm AR links to 6mm Optimum and .223 Remington, while 6mm ARC links to 6mm Optimum, .223 Remington, .224 Valkyrie and 6mm AR. Meanwhile .223 Remington "See Also" links only to 6×45mm, Delta L problem and some pages of very general interest.

Trying to maintain links to AR platform concepts on every AR platform cartridge page would be a maintenance nightmare. It would seem far more practical for each of them to link to this page, which should link to all of those (including Delta L problem, which needs to be added).

Does anyone have suggestions, protests or blessings regarding this? I'm willing to do the work given some assurances that it wouldn't get reverted offhand.
