Wikipedia deletion procedure does not permit speedy closure of AfD discussions that have been withdrawn but that still include other delete opinions. —David Eppstein (talk) 21:03, 6 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I have added several sources to prove GNG, significant coverage and multiple criteria at WP:NCYCLING. Could you withdraw the nomination? The article is much better than when you nominated it, and clearly shows notability now. Thanks, Seacactus 13 (talk) 00:36, 8 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

sources

[edit]

as per the previous discussions, we do not use sources that are no longer available in this case, nor can we use videos that have been doctored and are subject to copyright, being uploaded by someone who isn't the copyright holder. Stop re-adding it. GRINCHIDICAE🎄 18:51, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The video is uploaded by the news organization and could not possibly be doctored unless done so by the news organization. The sources are still available. For the NBC 10 article see https://turnto10.com/archive/man-claims-he-was-abused-in-dcyf-care. That link is available. Hopefully we can agree on those two sources. Please clarify...

What exactly is your relationship to Nicholas Alahverdian? GeneralNotability (talk) 19:19, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I do not have a personal one other than reading his book and following his story over the years If I did I would disclose. Dr42 (talk) 19:29, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Then would you care to explain why your account used to be named "Rossinicholas" (that is, Nicholas Rossi, the previous name of Nicholas Alahverdian)? Quite the coincidence. GeneralNotability (talk) 19:38, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I have reviewed your link. I am unsure how that is possible. That has never been my username. Dr42 (talk) 20:00, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Username logs have this account changing from Rossinicholas to SVUKnight in 2006, then later changing from SVUKnight to Dr42 in 2019. I concede that it's very strange that an account was created, made three edits, renamed, slept for 13 years, then came active and was renamed again, but that's what the logs and evidence say. Strangely enough, this account wasn't the first Rossinicholas on Wikipedia either, but that's an issue for another day. GeneralNotability (talk) 20:16, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Request reason:

Appealing here because I have not acted in a way that is damaging or disrupting.. I have been a decent editor who makes good contributions on a number of topics. I remain respectful, polite, and look to make a positive impact. I was recently accused of creating an old account. That was not my account and I have never had another account. If I am given criticism for what I did wrong I will change the act. I promise to continue to be a productive and decent editor. Very confused though about what this is, how my account came to be twisted with another, and suspicious of what actually happened and how it happened. Regardless I will not do anything that would break any rules or act in bad interest. Dr42 (talk) 22:59, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You still haven't explained why your account was renamed from "Rossinicholas". And that's ignoring the obvious sock puppetry. Pro-tip: using a VPN doesn't make you untrackable. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 02:45, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I did not have that account. So confused about how this happened and why my account is barred. As i have promised to not change my user name i do not see why i must be sanctioned. Ive no idea how the two were connected, i should not be responsible. I do commit to following all rules. Dr42 (talk) 19:26, 23 December 2020 (UTC)

This is clearly not productive. CU-confirmed abuse of multiple accounts. TPA revoked. ST47 (talk) 19:40, 23 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Bezeq1, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

A tag has been placed on File:Bob Kerr of The Providence Journal.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file licensed as "for non-commercial use only", "no derivative use", "for Wikipedia use only", or "used with permission"; and it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag and if necessary, a complete fair use rationale.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. ♟♙ (talk) 20:15, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
