Confirmed title album

[edit]

Sorry, well, this is the name of the new third album of ETF.. sure? ... references... source? UltraHeadShot (talk page) 13:02, 26 August 2010 (UTC+5)

This is the most likely title as shown by their Myspace. --Raktoner (talk) 23:00, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

they updated the myspace about 7 minutes ago, naming the album 'Massacre'. http://music.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=music.artistalbums&albumid=16512475 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.249.93.158 (talk) 07:08, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hold on, that says they're still with Epitaph, and Interscope...?--Raktoner (talk) 15:41, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think this confirms that it's self-titled. http://www.sacbee.com/2010/09/01/2997792/escape-the-fate-reveals-album.html --Raktoner (talk) 00:52, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, is confirmed http://www.escapethefate.com/massacre/ --UltraHeadShot (talk) 15:40, 3 September 2010 (UTC+5)

Massacre (song)

[edit]

Hey, here is the problem, "Massacre" is the new single of ETF's new album, the same case as "The Flood", the people believed that the album was calling this way, until they announced " pre order ", for what Massacre must be thought the new single of the band, and his article to be created for his expansion. UltraHeadShot (talk) 13:43, 30 August 2010 (UTC+5)

The difference between Massacre and The Flood is when The Flood was released, the art that they showed us was just Escape The Fate as a logo. For what they've shown us from Massacre, it says Escape The Fate: Massacre, which makes it look like an album title. I do tihnk it's just a single but who knows. --Raktoner (talk) 20:34, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
CONFIRMED, Escape the Fate confirmed that "Massacre" is the new single of the band, and that "Issues" will be the second one, someone doubts still?. http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendId=6725793&blogId=538720496 UltraHeadShot (talk) 14:11, 31 August 2010 (UTC+5)
That should confirm it. Go ahead and put it up.--Raktoner (talk) 23:27, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Massacre & Choose Your Fate

[edit]

The opening album track is .. Choose your fate, true? but Massacre song in youtube Interscope page is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtQ8I_e7mX0 ? so confuse. UltraHeadShot

(talk) 01:15, 06 September 2010 (UTC+5)
I'm not even sure if Choose Your Fate is a track anymore, but from the ending of Massacre, I'd say it would come directly after Massacre. So Massacre might not even be the first track.--Raktoner (talk) 16:27, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sources

[edit]

Almost all of the sources need to be replaced. First-party sources stemming from social networking websites should only be used in certain circumstances, but this article seems to rely almost entirely on them. In fact, some of the claims in this article sourced to Escape the Fate's social networking sites probably don't belong here at all. For example: "Craig recently stated on his Twitter account that the band only has one song left to record." This will be a completely useless statement once the album is released. For the rest of the information, it should be easy to find published third-party sources such as for important dates and quotes. Webstores such as iTunes or Amazon.com should never be used either. For more information on sourcing and verification, please visit WP:RS and WP:V respectively. Thank you. Fezmar9 (talk) 15:34, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Genres

[edit]

Based on the established genres for the single, "Massacre," I have added a few genres into the infobox (these genres are only based on one of the album's tracks, and hence are subject to change once additional tracks have been released).--♫ Chris-B-Koolio ♫ ... (Talk) 20:25, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Can we PLEASE come to some consesus on the genres!? People are constantly including all sorts of genres, even off-the-wall genres like gothic metal! I propose that the most obvious and unarguable genres that this album clearly expresses are post-hardcore and hard rock. I also understand the view-point of those who have been adding the genres metalcore and alternative metal. I feel, though, that the most appropriate genres are as follows:

Post-hardcore, hard rock, alternative metal

I am now putting those three in the infobox and would welcome conversation here on the talk page before anyone removes/edits the infobox genres. --♫ Chris-B-Koolio ♫ ... (Talk) 17:27, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Based on the recent edits of other USERs and IPs (which, might I add, were done before adding any comment here), it seems that most are in favor of including all of those probable genres listed above. The current infobox genres are: Post-hardcore, metalcore, alternative metal, hard rock.

Deluxe Edition?

[edit]

Apparently, there's a deluxe edition to this album, as seen here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0042VMAG0/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_2?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B003BWQEB8&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=01QYWG9CHCYQQR4V2QVY. But, I don't see even a track list. What should we do with this?--Raktoner (talk) 01:05, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Song lengths

[edit]

How do people know the song lengths? Has the album leaked? Where? I want definite proof before people put up song longs before an official word.--Raktoner (talk) 22:03, 21 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Because it's never clear at what point in the album's release process it leaked–an email intercept before mixing, before mastering, a promo for reviewing purposes, which all result in different track lengths–it's best just to wait until either allmusic or iTunes list the track lengths. Leaks are not reliable sources of information. Fezmar9 (talk) 23:23, 21 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Deluxe edition cover art

[edit]

If an alternate cover is uploaded and added to any article, it needs to be drastically different than the original artwork in order to comply with Wikipedia's legal policy for non-free criteria. Because the deluxe edition of Escape the Fate is simply a red tint of the original, this file fails several of the Non-free content criteria—most notably #1, #3a and #8. UltraHeadShot, I had this exact same discussion with you at A Thousand Suns so none of this should be news to you. Please refrain from removing the deletion notices. Thank you. Wreckoning or Reckoning?

[edit]

Wreckoning is how it appears on iTunes, and how it appears on most sites that have this CD. I think it's more favorable for it to be Wreckoning, even if it is a typo.

Unless the lyric book says otherwise? Because I haven't seen it.--Raktoner (talk) 01:17, 30 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Allmusic lists it as "Wreckoning," and they get their information directly from physical albums. Fezmar9 (talk) 01:23, 30 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's listed as Day of Wreckoning in the CD case, that should be proof enough. Jer757 (talk) 02:01, 30 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I added a hidden note in the track listing which should redirect editors trying to alter the spelling here. If anyone feels strongly that this should be changed, state your reasons here and please also provide a proper source. Thanks. Fezmar9 (talk) 02:57, 30 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Pop punk

[edit]

I personally think that escape the fate isn't only strong influenced by pop punk, I belive they actually play that genre and it's a part of their style of music... But not in every their song, only just in the albums dying is your lates fasion and somewhat in this war is ours. I compared dying is your latest fasion with a day to remember's album for those who have a heart, and this sounds pretty much like the same style of music. Some songs like there's no symphaty for the dead aren't pop punk at all, while songs like situations are like 80% pop punk. Now back to this war is ours... Escape the fate changed their style when Ronnie was replaced with Craig, they began to add alternative rock and alternative metal to their style, and post-hardcore and metalcore were almost non-existable in this album. Some songs stil were like 80% pop punk like ashley, but this time it was a lot less "hardcore". That's why I think that escape the fate actually plays pop punk. Like I said, not in every their song, and not in their every album or EP. And another thing... On the main pages, it says their only genres are post-hardcore and metalcore, I think it shouldn't be like that. I would edit it if I could, because escape the fate has a special style of music, and it's not that simple like it's writen at all. It should be writen like: Genres: Post-hardcore, metalcore, pop punk, alternative rock, alternative metal, hard rock. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ETFFAN123 (talkcontribs) 13:11, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

MASSACRE

[edit]

Massacre is o not is a first single or promitional single of this album? answer me please. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chemikalero9 (talkcontribs) 23:18, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It was the brand single for their signing with Interscope but it was not an album single. 75.196.74.106 (talk) 23:10, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Interscope and DGC, consider as first single. The official website too.--UltraHeadShot (talk) 21:42, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

City of Sin--single?

[edit]

I know there was a video of City of Sin, but that doesn't necessarily make a single...On Facebook ETF announced Gorgeous Nightmare as the new single. Also, I'm pretty sure wasn't a single. That would make the singles Issues and Gorgeous Nightmare, not City of Sin.

Singles

[edit]

wasn't Zombie Dance a single on the albulm? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.2.128.78 (talk) 22:51, 1 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It was supposed to be, but it never happened. --Raktoner (talk) 23:58, 1 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Gorgeous Nightmare

It may be early, but is a page for Gorgeous Nightmare currently being made?DannyETF (talk) 15:30, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Leila

[edit]

In the Personnel section, it says Leila, Craig's daughter did vocals. Is there a reference for this and if it is true which song can you hear her vocals on? - DannyETF (talk) 19:03, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
