Happy Ocean Foods is a Munich-based start-up company that focuses on the development and production of plant-based alternatives to seafood and fish. It was founded in May 2020 by Julian Hallet & Robin Drummond.[1]
Description
The vision of Happy Ocean Foods is "to create a delicious, conscious and more sustainable alternative for all, creating a win-win for consumers and oceans". In 2021, a cooperation with l'Osteria, Oh Julia!, Ferdings Bar and Poseidon in Munich followed. In May 2022, the company was able to raise an investment from Nico Rosberg and Dagmar Wöhrl at Höhle der Löwen.[2] Since 2023, SIGGIS in Maxvorstadt has also been serving vegan burgers with ingredients from Happy Ocean Foods. In addition to vegan shrimp and tuna, vegan salmon is also planned.
