On 20 January 2024,Brigadier General Sadegh Omidzadeh The intelligence officer of the Quds Force in Syria[1] and three other officers of the Iranian revolutionary guard were killed in an alleged Israeli strike in the damascus, Syria.[2][3][4] [5] In addition to them, Hezbollah officer responsible for weapon deliveries from Iran to Hezbollah in Lebanon was also killed.[6][7]

The explosion occurred two weeks after the assassination of Saleh al-Arouri in Beirut.[8]
