Garry Schyman is an American composer.

Biography

Schyman began composing music at the age of 12. He practiced on the family piano. Schyman graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Music Composition. [1][2]

Viral Videos

Schyman composed the music for the song Praan, which was used in Matt Harding's Dancing 2008 video. [4] The song's Bengali language lyrics are an adaptation of Rabindranath Tagore's poem "Stream of Life" from Gitanjali. Garry Schyman was interviewed at KFAI radio for this song and he also received the Hollywood Music Awards 2008 for "Best Music Video".[5]

Personal life

Schyman lives and works at his current residence in Los Angeles, California with his wife, Lisa Schyman, and his five-year-old son Ethan Schyman.[1]
