Atpadi is a taluka in Sangli district of Maharashtra, in 1991 it was one of the eight talukas of the district.^[1]^[2] In 2012 the taluka suffered a severe drought, reportedly the worst in living memory,^[3] similar conditions were faced in 2019.^[4]
